Payroll Specialist

Randy Marion Automotive is hiring a full-time Payroll Specialist in our centralized accounting office located in Mooresville, NC. The payroll specialist is responsible for processing all aspects of weekly payroll and monthly commissions for multiple dealerships.

The Payroll Specialist should be dependable, organized, detail orientated, able to multitask, communicate professionally, and meet deadlines. Previous automotive dealership experience a plus and Reynolds & Reynolds experience helpful.

Payroll specialist duties include:

  • Compiles payroll data such as hours worked, sales commissions, time sheets and other records.
  • Computes wages and deductions and posts to payroll records.
  • Reviews wages computed to ensure accuracy of payroll.
  • Records data concerning transfer of employees between departments.
  • Ensures employees receive benefits information and paperwork.
  • Process payroll tax payments.
  • Maintain confidential payroll records and employee files.
  • Ensure the processing of new hires, changes, transfers, and terminations is accurate and timely.
  • Perform monthly audits on deductions and earnings.
